Fanny (Brig) logbook, 1788-1791.

The logbook of the brig Fanny details four voyages (in random order) from Salem and Beverly, Mass., to Cuba, Martinique, and Saint Eustatius in the West Indies, and Lisbon and Setubal, Portugal, Nov. 1788-May 1791. The brig's owners were Benjamin Goodhue and Lydia Tucker; the master was Thorndike Proctor. The logbook includes notes on shipboard occupations and on the ship's cargo of salt. During its voyage, the Fanny spoke the brig Betsy out of Baltimore, the brig Philadelphia, and the brig Polly out of New Bedford, Mass.
